This project included both GLF and GLR scraper conveyor chains in carbon steel and stainless steel configurations. The GLF100 series chains were customized with different flight lengths, while the GLR66.5(5) SS chain was selected for applications requiring stainless steel construction. The 290 mm and 430 mm dimensions refer to the metal flight length, where UHMWPE plastic flights are installed. For longer flight sizes, additional support structures are used to improve stability during operation.

290 and 430 mean the length of the metal flight. On the metal flight, it will install UHMWPE plastic flight on it. These two sizes of chains have a longer flight, so we produce the support for that.

With hole or Without hole Type
The plastic flights can be manufactured either with mounting holes or without holes. For flights with holes, we prepare a detailed drawing for customer approval before drilling, and standard hole machining is included in production.
For some operating conditions, customers prefer flights without pre-drilled holes so they can adjust the hole size and position directly at the installation site. Both configurations can be manufactured according to the actual conveyor requirements.
Material of the Plastic Flight to Conveyor Chain
The plastic flights in this project were manufactured from PE (HDPE) and UHMWPE. HDPE is a cost-effective option for general conveying applications, while UHMWPE offers higher wear resistance and longer service life in more demanding conditions.

Type of the Sprocket
Two sprocket configurations were included in this order: one-piece sprockets and split sprockets. The final selection depends on the conveyor design and maintenance requirements. Split sprockets can make replacement and maintenance easier in systems where shaft removal is inconvenient, while one-piece designs provide a simple and rigid structure.
Nylon Roller
Specification of the NYLON Roller
- Nylon chain roller 97x25x80mm-34mm, for 430 chain, 200pcs
- Nylon chain roller 97x25x80mm-26mm, for 290 chain, 500pcs
The nylon rollers support the conveyor chain during operation and help prevent excessive sagging caused by the chain’s own weight. The 34 mm and 26 mm dimensions refer to the roller width selected to match the corresponding chain size.
Nylon is suitable for this application because of its good self-lubricating properties and wear resistance, helping reduce friction during continuous chain movement.

Pins for Replacement of Chain
During long-term conveyor operation, chain pins are among the components most exposed to wear. For easier maintenance and replacement, the customer also ordered spare pins matched to the chain models in this project.
Specification of Pin
- Solid Round Pin: Dia 5mm, for GLF430 chain, 1,000pcs
- Open Mouth Pin: Dia 4mm, for GLF225(210) chain and GLF290chain, 1,000pcs
Replacement pin types and dimensions are matched to the corresponding chain model, and we keep production records to support future repeat orders and maintenance requirements.
