Description
The sectional screw flight in this project was manufactured to OD315 × ID100 × P400 × T5 mm, with left-hand rotation and a one-pitch-one-piece sectional design.
At the beginning of the project, the customer requested a 500 mm pitch. After reviewing the relationship between the 315 mm outside diameter and the requested pitch, we found that the pitch was too large for stable forming and dimensional control. We therefore discussed the manufacturability issue with the customer and recommended reducing the pitch to 400 mm. The customer accepted the revised specification before production.

Material
The sectional screw flights in this project were manufactured from SS304 stainless steel. Depending on operating conditions and customer requirements, other material options are also available, including carbon steel, low-alloy steel and wear-resistant steel.

Packing
Because the order quantity was relatively small and the shipment was arranged by international express, we used lightweight protective packing consisting of a woven bag, air-bubble wrap and wrapping film. This helped reduce unnecessary packing weight while still protecting the screw flights during transportation.
For larger-volume orders, sectional screw flights are generally packed on pallets or in export plywood cases according to product size, weight and shipment requirements.
