Installation Hole Types for Plastic and Metal Elevator Buckets

Most of our plastic elevator buckets use flat mounting holes, while some special models, such as our DH series drying buckets, are designed with recessed holes.

For metal elevator buckets, recessed holes are more common. These recessed holes are normally formed directly by the mould, so the hole structure and position are fixed for each bucket model.

Flat holes offer greater flexibility for plastic buckets. The hole diameter and spacing can be customized according to the customer’s installation requirements, making it easier to match different elevator belts, bolts, and existing equipment.

Some customers may worry that flat mounting holes are not strong enough. In actual installation, however, domed washers and nyloc nuts are used together with fang elevator bolts to provide secure fastening. The bolt can be tightened to achieve the required clamping force and stable installation.

Flat-hole plastic elevator buckets have been widely used in the market and have proven reliable for normal bucket elevator applications.
