Manufacturing Process of Nylon Chain Rollers
Both the white and slightly yellow rollers are made from nylon material, but different manufacturing processes result in different appearances.
The white color roller is made from the extruded nylon rod. The extruded nylon rod has a clean white appearance and was previously our main material for machining nylon rollers. We used to use this process to do the further machining work of the rollers.
The slightly yellow rollers are manufactured from cast nylon, which is now our main production method. Now it is our main manufacturing method.
Why Did We Change the Manufacturing Process?
Cast nylon offers better wear resistance for this application. Since the roller runs in direct contact with the chain, good wear resistance is important for improving service life.
Case
We have a client who buy our nylon roller without teeth, it is made by the orginal extruded type.
About half a year, the roller surface is worn out by rubbing with chain. Not always the chain quality is good, sometimes the chain surface has burring that causes the quick damage of roller.
