General
This Zimbabwe project combined custom screw flights and PVC elevator belts for an animal feed mill handling grain and bulk feed materials. The two components were selected for different conveying functions within the same feed handling system: horizontal or inclined screw conveying and vertical bucket elevator transportation.
Screw Flight
Material
Carbon steel

Packing
To meet the shipment requirements, the packing method was upgraded from an open pallet to a supporting frame and finally to a fully enclosed export plywood box, providing better protection for the 3 m screw flights during handling and international transportation.

The carbon steel continuous screw flight in this project was manufactured to OD200 × ID63 × P200 × T6 mm, with a 3 m length and right-hand rotation. Screw flights are used to move grain, feed and powdered materials horizontally or at an incline in screw conveyors and feeders. PVC Elevator Belt
Specification
PVC880-300, 7mm thickness
PVC8800-200, 7mm thickness
These two types of belts are the same type, just cut into two different widths 200mm and 300mm to suit the different widths of the elevator bucket.

The 7 mm PVC elevator belt was cut into 200 mm and 300 mm widths to match different elevator bucket sizes. PVC elevator belts are widely used for vertical conveying in grain and feed processing systems because of their flexibility, wear resistance and suitability for continuous operation. Together, the screw flights and PVC elevator belts supported both horizontal and vertical material conveying within the customer’s animal feed handling system, making this a practical combination of components for feed mill bulk material transportation.
