Conveyor Scraper Chain
We produce chain conveyor chains. It is also a kind of transmission chain. Its main purpose is to transport materials. It’s driven by a motor.
Conveyor Chain Materials
The chain plates are made of 40Mn steel. The pin, roller, and sleeve of the chain are made of 40Cr which is a wear-resistant material, has a higher tensile strength. The hardness of our chain plate is 32 ~ 35HRC. The hardness of the pin and sleeve of the chain is 35HRC.
Chain metal scrapers
Our conveyor chain is composed of an inner plate and an outer plate. The chain consists of inner and outer plates, with scraper attachments mounted at specified intervals along the chain. This is the reason that we called it the conveying scraper chain.
Metal scraper attachments are typically installed at intervals of approximately 200–300 mm, depending on the chain pitch and conveyor design. That is to say, a one-meter chain will hold 4 ~ 5 sets of the chain metal scrapers.
If the pitch of this chain is 100mm, usually a set of scrapers will be installed in two pitches. If the pitch of this chain is 66.5mm. Then 4 pitches of the chain will be equipped with a set of metal chain scrapers as an attachment.
The length of the metal scraper is determined according to the width of the scraper chain conveyor tank. Its length must be less than the tank of the chain conveyors.
UHMWPE Chain Flights
The UHMWPE flight is mounted onto the metal scraper attachment of the conveyor chain. There are two forms of flights. One is BF flat style, it is used for the En-masse conveyor. It is used for our GLF and 81X, 81H series chain for horizontal scraper conveyors.
The other is the BR arc style. It is used in U-type scraper conveyors for GLR Scraper Conveyor Chain, it is the self-cleaning scraper conveyor.
Metal chain sprocket
Our metal chain wheel sprocket is usually made of C45 / equivalent carbon steel if no special requirement. The hardness of the top of the chain teeth is 42 ~ 45HRC.
The diameter of the sprocket is determined by the depth of the conveyor trough. The deeper the depth of the conveyor trough the larger the diameter of the chain wheel. A larger sprocket diameter generally allows for a greater number of teeth.
BR arc-shaped ultra-high molecular flight is generally higher in its height. Therefore, the diameter of the matching sprocket is relatively small.
The scraper conveyor wheel is divided into a head wheel sprocket and a tail wheel sprocket. The tail sprocket is not directly driven.
For the convenience of maintenance purposes, we now also produce split sprockets. It is made up of two parts. The two halves are bolted together, making removal and maintenance easier without disassembling the entire shaft system.
Other conveyor accessories
Sometimes nylon idlers are used. The nylon idler holds up the chain.
