Product: Nylon 6 and Nylon 66 Sheets
Specification: 2000 × 1000 × 15 mm; 10 sheets of PA6 and 10 sheets of PA66
Market: Colombia
Application: Industrial Engineering Plastic Applications

YT Conveyor manufactured 20 nylon sheets for a customer in Colombia, including 10 sheets of Nylon 6 (PA6) and 10 sheets of Nylon 66 (PA66). Both materials were produced in the same size of 2000 × 1000 × 15 mm.

This order is a practical example of how two nylon materials with the same dimensions can be selected for different performance requirements. The PA6 sheets were white, while the PA66 sheets were pale yellow, making the two material groups easy to distinguish during packing and subsequent use.

Order Details

The Colombia order included:

  • Nylon 6 / PA6 sheet: 2000 × 1000 × 15 mm, white, 10 sheets
  • Nylon 66 / PA66 sheet: 2000 × 1000 × 15 mm, pale yellow, 10 sheets

The total quantity was 20 sheets.

Same Size, Two Nylon Materials

Although the PA6 and PA66 sheets in this order had the same dimensions, their material performance and cost are different.

PA6 is a commonly used engineering plastic with good mechanical strength, wear resistance and machinability. It is a practical and cost-effective choice for many industrial components and wear parts.

PA66 provides higher heat resistance, stronger wear resistance and better load-bearing performance than PA6. It is more suitable for applications involving higher temperatures, greater mechanical load or more demanding wear conditions. PA66 material is also significantly more expensive than PA6, which is why the price difference between two sheets of the same size can be substantial.

Colour Difference Between PA6 and PA66

For this supply, the PA6 sheets were white and the PA66 sheets were pale yellow. The colour difference provides a useful visual reference when the two materials are packed or stored together.

However, material selection should be based on the required working conditions rather than colour alone. Customers should consider the required temperature resistance, wear condition, mechanical load, dimensions and machining requirements before choosing PA6 or PA66.

Packing

After production, the nylon sheets were grouped by material, stacked on wooden pallets, wrapped in protective film and secured with straps for handling and transport.

Proper pallet packing is important for large engineering plastic sheets, helping protect the sheet surfaces and edges during storage, loading and delivery.

Other Nylon Projects

Besides sheet materials, nylon can also be supplied or machined in different forms for industrial applications. For example, we supplied Nylon PA6 rods to a customer in Panama for machining into wear and mechanical parts.

For a PA66 application, please also see our project for PA66 nylon worm screws supplied to West Asia. These examples show how nylon materials can be selected according to the required structure, wear condition and mechanical performance.
