Material Types of Elevator Buckets
Elevator buckets can be divided into metal elevator bucket cups and plastic bucket cups.
Metal elevator buckets are commonly available in mild steel, SS304, and SS316.
Plastic elevator buckets are commonly available in HDPE, Nylon 6, reinforced nylon, and polyurethane (PU).
Material Applications for Different Elevator Buckets
Mild Steel: General purpose application, has a long use life, used for cereals and industrial products;
Stainless steel 304: Used for food, feed, and other, corrosive and high-temperature products;
Stainless steel 316: Used for food, feed, and other, highly corrosive and high-temperature products;
HDPE: Cereals, food, feed, and seed products;
Nylon 6: Used for hot, abrasive, and sticky products;
Reinforced nylon: Used for hot, highly abrasive, and sticky industrial products;
Polyurethane (PU): Used for sharp, cutting, and sticky products.
Typical Materials Handled
Food: Barley, Beans, Corn, Cotton Seed, Coffee, Flour, Grains, Nuts, Rice, Sunflower, Oats, Salt, Sugar, Wheat, etc.
