What are NdFeB magnets?
NdFeB magnets, also known as neodymium iron boron magnets, are permanent magnets made primarily from neodymium, iron and boron. They are widely used in industrial equipment, motors, sensors, automation systems and other applications requiring strong magnetic performance.

NdFeB magnets are widely used in industrial equipment, electric motors, sensors, automation systems, magnetic separation devices and other applications requiring high magnetic strength in a compact size. Different magnet grades, shapes, dimensions and surface coatings can be selected according to operating conditions and corrosion resistance requirements.

What’s the project this time?
This South American customer placed two NdFeB magnet orders with us in 2022.
In May 2022, the customer ordered N39 nickel-coated cylindrical NdFeB magnets in two sizes:
Ø15 × 25.5 mm — 500 sets
Ø20 × 25.5 mm — 500 sets
The negative pole was marked in red for easier polarity identification. The magnets were packed in a dedicated magnetic isolation box to reduce magnetic interference with other cargo during ocean transportation.
In September 2022, the customer placed another order for N38 nickel-coated square NdFeB magnets:
2″ × 2″ × 1″ — 320 sets
2″ × 1″ × 1″ — 100 sets
Both orders were produced according to the confirmed magnet grade, dimensions, coating and packing requirements.
Parameter Comparison of NdFeB Magnet Coatings
The magnets in these two projects used nickel coating. Other surface treatment options are also available, including phosphated zinc, Cu-phosphated, Zn + Parylene and gold coating. Different coatings provide different surface appearance and corrosion protection characteristics, so the appropriate coating should be selected according to the application environment.
