S Type Elevator Bucket Overview

S type elevator bucket is designed for efficient conveying of grain, feed, seed, fertilizer, and other light bulk materials in bucket elevator systems. It provides stable lifting performance and smooth discharge, making it suitable for continuous operation in agricultural and industrial material handling applications.

Compared with other bucket types, S elevator bucket is less commonly used but still plays an important role in specific conveying conditions where stable material flow and moderate capacity are required.

Standard models are available, with material options to suit different working conditions.

Available Sizes and Custom Options

S elevator bucket is a less commonly used bucket type in bucket elevator systems. Although a full range of model sizes is listed in the table below, only three sizes are currently available with existing molds: S14×8, S16×8, and S18×8.

For other sizes, new molds can be developed based on sufficient order quantity. In some cases, this type of bucket can also be modified from D type buckets if needed.

For projects with special requirements, custom sizes and specifications can be developed based on order quantity, drawings, or samples. This helps ensure proper fit with your elevator belt or chain system and maintains stable conveying performance.

Material Options

S elevator buckets can be supplied in different materials depending on the working environment and material characteristics, including:

  • HDPE – lightweight, cost-effective, suitable for general applications
  • Nylon – higher strength and wear resistance
  • PU (Polyurethane) – excellent impact resistance and longer service life

Different materials can be selected based on working conditions such as abrasion, temperature, and impact requirements.

Use advice:

  • Suitable for gravity discharge and mixed discharge
  • A, B, and C sizes are shown in the below table for HDPE material bucket size. Nylon and PU bucket sizes will increase by about 2%
  • Recommend using “(Z-Y)+5% as the usable capacity for engineering design

S Type vs Other Elevator Buckets
