Description
This order was placed by a new customer from Australia who required two types of screw flights: continuous screw flights and sectional screw flights. We discussed the project requirements with the customer several times before the order was confirmed, as they were comparing different manufacturing options. After reviewing the technical requirements, pricing and production capability, the customer finally chose us for the project.
The continuous screw flights included the following confirmed sizes:
400 × 114.3 × 400 × 5 (2.5) × 2500 mm — Left Hand
300 × 76.1 × 300 × 5 (2.4) × 2700 mm — Left Hand
250 × 60.3 × 250 × 5 (2.4) × 2700 mm — Left Hand
330 × 76.1 × 330 × 5 (2.4) × 2500 mm — Right Hand
The sectional screw flight was:
400 × 114.3 × 400 × 5 mm — Left Hand

Material
The screw flights in this project were manufactured from Q355 carbon steel according to the customer’s requirements. Stainless steel and other material options are also available depending on the conveyed material, operating environment and corrosion resistance requirements.
Packing
The sectional screw flights were packed in one export wooden case, while the longer continuous screw flights were securely loaded into one steel cage. Both packing methods were selected according to the different flight sizes and protection requirements during international transportation.
The total packed weight was approximately 5,000 kg, with a total volume of about 5 CBM. The complete shipment was transported to the customer in Australia by LCL sea freight.
