Question
If the plastic bucket is broken, and the bucket material is falling inside the food, can the broken material be detected by the metal detector?
Answer
No. A standard metal detector can only detect metallic contaminants.
Our standard plastic elevator buckets do not contain metal, so broken plastic fragments cannot be detected by a conventional metal detector.
Solution
If broken plastic bucket fragments fall into the food material, screening or sieving can be used to separate them from the product.
