DH Type Dryer Elevator Bucket Overview

DH type dryer elevator bucket is specially designed for low-temperature grain drying applications. It provides gentle conveying and helps reduce grain damage during the drying process.

This design concept is derived from advanced grain drying systems developed in Japan and Taiwan, where careful handling of grains is essential for maintaining product quality.

Applications

DH type buckets are widely used in grain drying systems for:

  • Paddy
  • Wheat
  • Maize / Corn
  • Beans and pulses
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Rapeseed
  • Sorghum
  • Cocoa and coffee

Use advice

  • It is used for a high-speed centrifugal material lifting style.
  • Recommend “(Z-Y)+10%” capacity as the use capacity for your engineer design;
  • Below the table, the size is for HDPE material. Because of the differences in the material shrinkage, the Nylon and PU elevator bucket size is approximately more than 2%.

Working Principle

During the drying process, DH buckets are designed to handle materials gently, minimizing impact and reducing grain breakage. This is especially important in low-temperature drying systems where product quality must be preserved.

Design Background

The DH bucket follows a design concept commonly used in advanced grain dryer systems, particularly those developed in Japan and Taiwan. These systems emphasize stable conveying and low grain damage during drying operations.

DX Type Comparison

For higher temperature drying applications, DX type buckets are also available:

  • DH type – designed for low-temperature drying with gentle conveying
  • DX type – designed for high-temperature drying applications

Both types are suitable for similar grain materials, but are selected based on drying temperature and system requirements.

DM vs DH vs DX Bucket Comparison

Different bucket designs are developed for specific applications in grain processing and drying systems:

  • DM type – designed for rice milling applications, using a sliding discharge method to ensure gentle conveying and minimize grain damage, especially for maintaining rice appearance
  • DH type – designed for low-temperature grain drying systems, providing stable and gentle conveying to reduce damage during the drying process
  • DX type – designed for high-temperature drying applications, combining high capacity with low-damage conveying for dried grain, feed, and seed materials
Bucket Type Application Key Feature Working Condition
DM Rice milling Sliding discharge, ultra low damage Normal temperature
DH Grain drying Gentle conveying, low damage Low-temperature drying
DX Grain drying High capacity + low damage High-temperature drying

These bucket types are widely used in advanced grain processing and drying systems, with design concepts derived from technologies developed by companies such as KANEKO (Japan) and SUNCUE (Taiwan).

Performance Advantage

DH type buckets help improve overall drying system performance by reducing grain damage and maintaining product quality during conveying.

  • Lower grain damage rate
  • Gentle material handling
  • Stable operation in drying systems
  • Suitable for continuous processing

Engineering Considerations

For optimal performance, the following factors should be considered:

  • Drying temperature
  • Material type
  • Elevator speed
  • System configuration
