Application
In the movement of loads vertically, a bucket elevator occupies the most important place in this type of transport. It is also the most economical, both in its investment cost, operation cost, and maintenance.
Usage
Bucket elevators are used to transport materials of various kinds of materials, whether in bulk, dry, wet, or even liquid.
The bucket elevator consists of a motor elevator belt or chain driven by a specially designed pulley (drum type) that supports and drives it. On the elevator belt or chain, a certain number of buckets are fixed.
Elevator Bucket
The elevator bucket is a bucket that can have different shapes and dimensions, made of stainless steel or carbon steel sheet. And now plastic HDPE or Nylon elevator buckets are popular, according to the material to be transported. They are attached to the elevator belt or elevator chain at the back of the elevator bucket, by means of elevator bolts, installed rigidly.
How to choose a bucket elevator?
The materials to be used in its different parts will depend on the material to be transported.
The height of the elevators is very variable, from 3 meters for small grain sorting plants to 70 meters in port facilities and large storage plants.
The most common type of elevator is fundamentally in the handling of clinker and by-products of the cement industry. They will use the chain bucket elevator. In other cases (eg, when working with high-temperature materials), special articulated chains are used, their traction being carried out through toothed wheels, replacing the drums used for the bands.
